A Dream Born from Pain
Our organization was founded in 2019, but the dream began many years before that - in the heart of a little boy who knew what it meant to have nothing.
Our founder, Enock, became an orphan at the age of five after his parents and family members tragically lost their lives in a devastating car accident. Before that day, he had a family, a home, and the love every child deserves. But after the funeral and the burial of his loved ones, everything changed forever.
When the burial was over, everyone who had gathered slowly went back to their own lives. Enock remained behind - alone, with no parent, no close relative willing to care for him, and no one to call family. At only five years old, he could not pay rent, buy food, or care for himself. With nowhere else to go, he found himself living on the streets of Mityana, where he survived for an entire year.
Life on the streets was harsh. Every day was a struggle for food, water, safety, and hope. Like many vulnerable children, he experienced hunger, fear, loneliness, and uncertainty about what tomorrow would bring.
Then, everything changed.
A kind and compassionate family saw him, welcomed him into their home, and gave him what every child deserves: food to eat, clean water to drink, a safe place to sleep, and the opportunity to receive a simple education. More importantly, they introduced him to Jesus Christ and taught him the love of God.
As they shared the teachings of Jesus, they also taught Enock about compassion, kindness, generosity, and caring for those in need. Those lessons transformed his life. Deep inside his heart, he made a promise to God and to himself that one day, if he ever had the opportunity, he would help children who were suffering just as he once had.
That promise became his life's mission.
The First Child
Years later, as a young man trying to survive, Enock worked as a taxi conductor. His income was small, and life was still difficult, but he never forgot the promise he had made.
One evening, around 9:00 p.m., after finishing work, Enock was walking home when he noticed a young boy sleeping beside the roadside. The weather was cold because it had rained earlier that day, and the child was shivering.
Enock stopped and gently asked the boy why he was sleeping outside.
As the boy shared his story, Enock was overwhelmed with emotion. The child's experience was painfully similar to his own childhood. It felt as though he was looking at himself many years earlier.
He knew he could not simply walk away.
Although he was already struggling financially, Enock made the difficult decision to take the boy home.
It was not an easy choice. His salary barely covered his own expenses, and caring for another child meant working longer hours just to provide food and basic necessities.
But love does not wait for perfect circumstances.
A Small House Filled with Big Love
As time passed, Enock continued meeting more vulnerable children living on the streets.
Each time he encountered a child in desperate need, he remembered the mercy that had once been shown to him. One by one, he welcomed them into his tiny home.
Soon there were two children. Then three. Then five.
The house became overcrowded, but they had no other place to go. They slept close together, shared everything they had, and trusted God for each new day.
Food was often scarce. Paying rent was difficult. Every meal was a miracle.
Despite the challenges, Enock refused to send any child away.
Whenever possible, they reached out to churches and kind-hearted individuals for support. Sometimes help came. Sometimes it didn't. But they kept believing that God had begun something bigger than they could imagine.
The Turning Point
One day, a pastor from a local church listened to Enock's story and saw the love he had for the children.
The pastor offered simple but life-changing advice. He encouraged Enock to create a Facebook page and begin sharing their story with Christians and compassionate people around the world who might be willing to help.
Before they left, the pastor prayed with Enock and the children, asking God to provide for every need and to bless the mission.
That prayer marked a turning point.
As people began discovering their story online, many were touched by the children's lives. Friends, churches, and generous supporters started reaching out with encouragement, prayers, food, clothing, school supplies, and financial assistance.
What had started with one rescued child in a small rented room began growing into something far greater than Enock had ever imagined.
Our Family Today
Today, that small act of compassion has grown into a loving family of 30 children.
Every child who comes to us is welcomed with love, dignity, and hope. We strive to provide a safe home, nutritious meals, education, healthcare, spiritual guidance, and the opportunity for every child to dream again.
Our mission is rooted in the words of Jesus - to love one another and to care for "the least of these." Every child deserves the chance to grow up in a family where they are valued, protected, and encouraged to become all that God created them to be.
Our journey began with one orphan who refused to forget where he came from. Today, that dream continues through every child whose life is being transformed.
We believe that while one person cannot help every child, every person can help one child - and together, we can change the future.
